Hello, how do you treat injuries during the week?

    • As a coach you don’t treat injuries, you protect the player and send them to a doctor or physio when there is strong pain, swelling, limping, or a head hit. In training you remove running, jumping and contact, maybe let them only shoot standing, pass or help as “assistant coach”. Full return is only when they move almost without pain and…

Hello, who has any games to boost competitiveness?

      • You can boost competitiveness with small, fast games. Play “King of the Court” 1v1 or 2v2 where winners stay on and challengers keep rotating. Use “Score–Stop–Stay”: if a team scores and then gets a defensive stop, they stay on offense; if not, the other team takes their place. Try short shooting battles in pairs or teams where they race to a…

in your club do you use or develop a CLA approach?

        • Yes, in our club we use a Constraints-Led Approach—the coaches tweak space, rules, or time so we’re forced to read the game and make smarter decisions. It makes training feel much more like real game play.

Hi, what methodology do you use to build your workouts? Especially, how do you start your workouts?

          • I start every workout with a quick warm-up to wake up my body and sharpen my focus. Then I build the session around core fundamentals, just like prepping for a game.

For a young coach who comes to the gym and wants to learn, what are the first three things you think they should start with?

            • For me, first would be proper tehnique for all the exercises that he will implement in his programs, second should be learning to communicate adequate to the level and age of the trainees and for the third thing i would say some basic periodization rules and principles

              • What type of dribbling skill? Ballhandling in the spot, straight line dribbling, change of direction?

                • We use it for dribbling drills during games and also for exercises with a defender — sometimes both players have a ball.

                  • I think the most important thinks are to create an environment where they are free to play, socialize and enjoy

So games that reflect those basics

After that I start with what they need, but in a general way

                    • In our club we usually have one goal: kids need to be driven and fueled with passion. Where there is passion learning is fun and kids are engaged and responsible towards their tasks and commitments as well.

During the first practices, we play a lot: Small Sided Games, Competitions, Challenges, they are the main characters of the game, so we…
